About the Role

As a VCPS therapist, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide high-quality individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Our clinicians are encouraged to draw upon a range of evidence-based modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, EMDR, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and more—while tailoring care to each patient’s needs.

You’ll collaborate with other therapists and psychiatric providers to ensure a well-rounded, holistic approach to treatment. This role also emphasizes documentation best practices, participation in supervision (for residents), and continued professional growth through training opportunities.

    1. Full-time, hybrid position: 33–40 hours per week, with required in-person office hours and telehealth flexibility.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Medication Management

The Virginia Center for Psychological Services (VCPS) is excited to welcome full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) to our growing multidisciplinary team. We proudly serve patients of all ages—children, teens, adults, and older adults—through comprehensive therapy and psychiatric medication management services, making VCPS a true one-stop center for mental health care in Northern Virginia.

About the Role

As a PMHNP with VCPS, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations, provide ongoing medication management, and collaborate closely with our therapy team to ensure well-rounded, integrated care for every patient. Our providers work with a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, eating disorders, and more.

You’ll be supported with full administrative, credentialing, and scheduling assistance, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care.

    1. Full-time, hybrid position: 33–40 hours per week, with required in-person office hours and telehealth flexibility.
