Dr. Ian Rutkofsky, MD, is a distinguished psychiatrist and faculty member at the California Institute of Behavioral Neurosciences & Psychology, bringing exceptional clinical depth and leadership to the VCPS psychiatric team. He completed his medical degree at the International American University College of Medicine and served as Chief Psychiatry Resident for two consecutive years at HCA-Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Florida. A published author and editor, Dr. Rutkofsky has written two psychiatry textbooks with Springer — Dissociative Identity Disorder: Treatment and Management and Psychiatric Disorders in the Prison Population in the United States.

Dr. Rutkofsky has trained with world-renowned physicians and New York Times bestselling authors Dr. Andrew Weil in Integrative Medicine and Dr. Daniel Amen in Integrative Psychiatry, reflecting his commitment to a holistic approach that bridges traditional and modern therapeutic modalities. His additional certifications include Professional Fitness Training from the Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas, and Humanitarian Response to Conflict and Disaster from the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, underscoring his belief in whole-person wellness and global compassion.
